MediCupping™ vacuum therapy is a non-invasive modality used by qualified licensed massage therapists to be able to reach into the body deeper than deep tissue massage. It is used to separate layers of tissue, allowing a more efficient flow of blood, water and nutrients, while also helping the body eliminate waste. It reduces congestion in areas of the body that seem "stuck" by breaking up adhesions and scar tissue. Adhesion "knots" can run deep within the body and last a lifetime, causing the body to become restricted. By opening these pathways the body becomes more pliable, rehydrated and fluid.

At Longboat Massage we offer MediCupping™ for Lymphatic Drainage and Deep Tissue purposes. Therapeutic MediCupping™ is used on specific areas of the body that you feel you need the most concentration during your massage.

I am in the restaurant business and spend a lot of time on my feet. Because of the long hours and my advancing middle age starting to take its toll, massage was recommended to me for both stress reduction and my various aches and pains. I found Mary Tamez initially at another massage place en route to my business.

After a few great visits I can't tell you how thrilled I was that Mary was joining forces with Liz Yerkes at a new venture right above our Lazy Lobster restaurant on Longboat Key. The place is great! The atmosphere is adjustable from open airy with a "massage in the trees" effect or quite and secluded with the drapes drawn.

Mary's calm and friendly personality makes you feel at ease the moment you arrive, and the massage session is so relaxing and healing I always leave the cozy setting feeling 100% better and looking forward to my next session! Mary is the best therapist I've ever experienced-- she gets to know you and caters her style and technique to your preferences. She is caring, compassionate and clearly experienced in massage. I give her the highest recommendation. Liz enjoys an equally outstanding reputation as well.

Michael, Longboat Key

Liz is professional, skillful and personable and her massages never fail to leave me relaxed and free from pain.

Larry, Washington DC

I have lived with Tinnitus for more than 30 years. The noise in my ears never went away - at night the sounds became louder. After several visits to doctors over the years, I pretty well had given up.

Ms. Liz Yerkes suggested I visit her for possible treatment. She used her fingers in my mouth to push on certain areas and massaged other areas on my neck and back. After a few treatments, I now have my life back!
